Artist Biography

Isali Arielle is a London/Jerusalem-based multimedia artist whose practice spans printmaking, sculpture, painting, and immersive installations. She explores themes of identity, trauma, and the tension between control and chaos. Her use of gestural, calligraphic mark-making creates disorienting and hypnotic environments that invite the viewer to engage with narratives that extend beyond the two-dimensional surface into the physical space.

Recurring motifs in her work, such as the esoteric "Dancing Spirits," form a symbolic language connecting to something beyond the material world. Her art delves into the clash between industrialization’s destruction and the scars left on consciousness, standing on the boundary between the physical and the infinite. Her thematic focus often draws from ancient Semitic wisdom, navigating the tension between ancestral roots, spiritual pull, and the chaos of materialism.

Isali graduated with First Class Honours in Fine Art from Kingston School of Art in 2023. Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, including solo shows Earth Do Not Cover, My Blood at the Stanley Picker Gallery in London, and The Last Dancing Spirit at Safehouse 2 in Peckham, London. International exhibitions include Unsettling Identities at Kunsthalle Lucerne, Switzerland.

Isali’s work is characterized by her ability to create overwhelming, immersive environments that leave viewers mesmerised and reflective.
